David Bers Architecture is a 25 year practice specializing in highly collaborative and logistically challenging work for the creative community including institutions, high end residential renovations, new construction, and offices. 

DBA is experienced in maintaining a disciplined, rational and, most importantly, decisive process to help guide clients to successful, enjoyable projects. While architecture can be complex, it is our job to bring clarity and unity and we appreciate the opportunity to show new clients the potential their projects hold through good design.

- We believe in timeless design. This is born by valuing core principles of good proportion, a consciousness of scale, and a legibility of design. 

- Architecture is defined by light: daylight, how light describes path, form, and scale and registers time.

- Establishing clear project priorities early sets the stage for success at all phases of a project from conception to construction by creating a strong basis for decision making at all scales of the work. 

- The best design comes from an understanding of its construction, and we aim for creative but buildable solutions by collaborating with suppliers, our consultants and builders as we design. 

- Input from all parts of the team early helps in coordination of the work for swift construction.

- Buildings should be sustainable, from the selection of systems, to specifying clean materials, to knowing their origin, and we focus on local materials and finishes wherever possible.
